Trucks. No Tarps. No Wash.

Holcim/LaFarge does not require clients to tarp or clean trucks before they leave the property with a load of gravel. There is no truck wash available on the site. Dust and gravel litter the air and the roads for miles.

Equipment. No shields.

The tall conveyor drops gravel onto large piles from approx. 125 ft. off the ground. The conveyors are old and cannot be adjusted. Debris is free to become airborne. Sorters and crushers emit loud, constant noise. 

Mitigation. Not working.

Water Bosses have not solved the problem. Dust drifts over and away from the property. Water Bosses cannot be in use at all times. Nothing has been done to absorb the sound.
